Kim Ji Won

 

Her first K-drama was in 2011 when she was the girl without parents in HIGH KICK 3. Of course, her character had to fall hard for the father figure. I remember her from THE HEIRS and she had such a bitchy role. Later, I watched her in the Crime drama Gap Dong with Joon Lee the crazy serial killer that she was on the run with. Really, though I think Descendants of the Sun changed things for her in 2016.

 Although, Fight for My Way (2017) was an unusual drama that I thought was her best. It was a different take on the usual K-drama. It was about run-of-the-mile high school friends finding their way after high school. I had thought at that time she married her co-star Park Seo Joon. Obviously, not. Since then she had become rather iconic in her country and of course in the makeup industry as well.
