Finally, Viki has this e-sports Chinese Drama from 2019 with Wang Yibo leading the helm. It wasn't so popular when he made it because I guess he was just coming on to the scene. Honestly, it's a pleasant surprise. Although the boy is serious, it feels he let his guard down in this one..at least a little.

China really knows how to cater to its e-players. I mean, maybe they do here and I just don't know. But from the building where they train and live to the high life they get invited to, hey..they might as well be popstars cause they got a fan base, for sure. But the gest of this one is that the captain of the team retires at 30 cause he loses to Canada in the championship and our boy Yibo has followed the captain's lead on the team for some time..so naturally, the captain hands over the leadership of the team to him. Although, the owners of the team think he's a bit lazy and doesn't deserve it. Meanwhile, e-sports reporter (Cute girl with a bouncy ponytail) is bending over backward trying to get the scoop on the changes in the team, and Yibo's character is getting flashback reminders that she looks so much like the superstar dancer he's had a crush on. Of course, it's a rocky start of a friendship between these two, but the second lead couple (the geeky girl and the nerd) are there to coax them along. Still, Yibo's character has to prove he's the MAN. I like it, but still, couldn't they just do a dance number or two at the park? I mean, seriously, Yibo is one of my favorite dancers, and well, that would have sold the show for me if he could just dance his way through all the drama...as if.
