Barbie Notes and other troubles

 

The donor exchange. Yes, it took a Friday afternoon and a couple of Margaritas to get up the nerve to change heads on my long-haired Ken with the Wheel Chair Ken. I tried as soon as I got the new guy out of the box which is actually a Made to Move Ken. He's not that handicapped. So a couple of days later I actually boiled water, but them upside down in a baggie and softened them up..and wham..it was done and "Cobie" got a new outfit in the making and I didn't even have to dress him. Of course in the long run I guess this cost me a total of 37 dollars (Since I did get Long Haired Ken on sale..he's gone up since March) so I am telling myself daily that I don't need anymore made to move Barbies.

OK..so it's like they are sitting around waiting for the furniture to arrive. But my first attempt at a Barbie room out of a recycled Panara lunch box. I really need better glue. I would have done more if I get Elmer's glues. I had to use tacky glue for the backdrop. I have ideas. I have plans. Unfortunately, I need more thread to sew up the couch. and I really do hope to make a bed soon. At least, I have a few things around I hope I can create something as in furniture, but I am not rushing myself.

I am trying to sew a little every day. I actually made a shirt..hahahha..although, it's rather Asian looking..since they love their low neck shirts there..but it's easier to put on..and I saw this beanie on Esty I so adored..so yeah, I had to make one. Although, I know it's not exactly as great as the one I saw..but still..I like Cobie in a beanie.

On a bewildering note..we had a not-the-best Mother's Day. Someone in the family awoke Sunday morning to find their car stolen out of the driveway so they couldn't make it to our usual place for food due they didn't have car seats and no one else in the family had them either. We ended up bringing food to them since they had to wait for to report it to the Police since the station didn't open until 9 in the morning. Also their insurance place was closed yesterday too. Hopefully, things will get better soon.
