Zoe's Music Festival TalesπŸ’•πŸ’—πŸ’•

Somehow, I feel like a Kingston Trio song. I bet you didn't even think I'd know about those guys, now, did you?

OK, so I did my set while were back in Seattle which wasn't so bad, cause you know, I had Kye right there with me. And yeah, he's like king of band roadies even if we might not have our shit together like some of these guys. But we did find. I did my thing which you know, I'm a nobody but I had a few stragglers who liked my covers, enough. They came back when they found out I would be featured with Aidan which was, of course, a last-minute thing.

And it was elating. I can't tell you how intoxicating it was to sing with this guy. He's so laid back and really knows his music. He might be pretty but he's got a lot of heart in his songs too. And at least, I knew enough about some of his stuff, which evidently his girlfriend helped him write..cause I met her in the end.

Yeah, we got in a fight. I ended up with a busted lip. She might be bipolar for all I know. Honestly, it was not the way I wanted to meet her. I was trying to help the dude out. I don't know why she thinks it's a thing.

So at least Kye slipped in and broke it up. He told her we'd been together for a long time and he was the one who asked Aidan if I could sing with him. Yeah, he took the blame. Seriously, I didn't see any of this coming.

It was a really big mistake in the end. I don't know if I'll see Aidan again. Which, I'm fine with that. I guess. But I really felt he was a good friend to know. He's got connections.

So yeah, I got the blues now as we are traveling south for another venue, which is a little more inland, and I'm down with that. We're staying in a woodsy trailer park at the moment. Food trucks are making a circle and yeah, I can see the stage from here.

A small line-up of locals, actually. Maybe I'll meet some cool musicians. Naturally, I go on early. You know, I'm no big deal, but I gotta be a cheerleader, so I've been listening to some of the line-up. I gotta help them out somehow.

Oh, and Kye smoked a pack of cigarettes. I couldn't deny him that. He's just being himself. That girlfight really scared him. And I don't know what to think now. Him coming to my defense.

Yeah, he's the man all right. Gotta be good to him. At the moment we are trying to see how long we can go without tequila, it seems to be our downfall. Forget beer, wine and malt liquor. When times get tough, we just need plenty of limes and triple sec.  Holding on to the good stuff when we finish at the festival.

  3. This is so good! I love the forest festival setting and the feelings that flare so high they end up in a fistfight. Here I thought it was a setup for our leading lady and the intriguing Aidan, but no, it was all about Kye to the rescue. The symbolism of the tequila is also very cool, and the ending has all the feels:
