Was Disneyland as good as you thought it would be?
HUCK: Actually, I don't ever remember going to Disneyland. I mean, I guess I did when I was little, but I don't remember. So yeah, maybe it was time for me to go, cause I always said I would, it's just I would have had to go alone. A lot of times I just didn't have a way to go and then it was like this after thought..but, now..(He smiles) Yeah, I went to Disneyland and it did not disappoint.
RACHEL: Well, I didn't believe we'd get there, (she cracks up) we did actually get lost.
HUCK: Almost ran out of gas, (His smile is open as he shakes his head and looks at her) but she's a pretty good navigator.
RACHEL: He is kind of funny (She smirks) and he didn't make me mad once.
HUCK: What is it they say? There are no bad days at Disney. (He looks at her as if he's about to burst into laughing)
RACHEL: OK, I think we stayed in the worst motel before we got there. (She gives him a look)
HUCK: But we got a discount. (He shrugs) And there were no bugs.
RACHEL: Yeah, he knows how to check for bed bugs. (She shakes her head) But I swear I thought those truckers were in a gang war. (She hugs herself and shakes the thought of how it could have ended badly)
HUCK: It was just a love spat. (He winces practically a wink as he laughs about it)
RACHEL: So we got a late start. (She is even-lipped about it as if she wanted to be at Disneyland early)
HUCK: We needed sleep. (He looks at her very sincerely) And besides we were there by lunch. (He shrugs)
RACHEL: (She nods like she will let it go) And we were there way into the night.
HUCK: You should really go at night. (Huck lets a smile slip) Yeah, that makes it like..like a honeymoon.
RACHEL: Honeymoon? (Rachel practically yelps giving him the eye as if it was no such thing).
HUCK: Oh you know you let me kiss you on that magical bridge. (He grins) Besides, we've decided I'm coming home with her. (He's bright-eyed and happy about it)
RACHEL: (She clears her throat) It's only for a visit. (she's even lipped with the thought of it)
Ooh the after trip report. :) Almost ran out of gas. lol And the late start ha ha. Love birds.

I hope you're okay and not feeling too bad. Masks are probably a good idea again with all this new Covid variant stuff they're talking about. And thanks! I hear you on the dorms. My daughter in her firsy year had the traditional cinder block tiny dorm. Thank goodness they're in their own place now, and nicer!

ReplyDeleteAw, how cute are Huck and Rachel? I'm so glad that their trip to Disneyland was magical after all -- trucker love spats notwithstanding. And the "honeymoon" part is swoon-worthy indeed. As is Rachel going home with Huck. 💖✨💖🎡💖
