OC RP - Nav

 

"I think Ezra is seeing someone new?" Nav said the first thing when he dropped in at Matty's, who was alone. Nav was passing out late Christmas gifts, which were candies that his relatives had given him for Christmas. Granted, the candy was a bit foreign from the nearby Indian grocer. Matty took it with ease.

"What?" Matty cracked up at Nav's revelation. "Are you sure? When?"

"Aren't you the closest one to him now?" Nav plopped down on the couch, and Matty brought him a generic soda from the fridge.

"Not really." Matty winced with a shrug. "I mean, he didn't come to Christmas when Fiona asked him. We just left him alone."

Nav nodded. "He wasn't exactly happy to see me. Of course, I know why. He's hurt about Dakota. It's not like I took him away from her, you know."

"Are you sure?" Matty gave him the eye.

"I didn't mean to. It's just I really like Dakota, and I..." He couldn't explain it, really. "We connected, OK."

"Connected." Matty cracked up with an open smile. "Aw, I like that word."

"I did give him a gift, or tried to. But he was busy with someone. She has blue hair. I didn't get a good look. Have you seen anyone in the building with blue hair, lately?"

Matty shook his head, no, and took a sip of his canned soda. "Do you want me to ask Fiona?"

"No, maybe it's best to leave it alone. He's allowed to move on, you know." Nav decided.

"Yeah, it's a new year. I'd like to see him happy again." Matty agreed. "Still, I'd like to meet her."

Matty shook with laughter, and Nav found himself laughing too.
