infinity - book review

Sherrilyn Kenyon is sizzling hot these days in the book world. She has claimed the #1 spot ten times in the past two years with every genre she writes.. Her current series include: The Dark-Hunters, The League, Lords of Avalon, BAD Agency, and now the Chronicles of Nick. Infinity is the first of the series.
She takes us on a back story from her Dark-Hunter novels with Nick, a smart, witty and sarcastic 14 year old in  her young adult novel INFINITY. Nick is a favorite of the Dark Hunter series. So why not write a fan fiction that your fans want? Also in the Chronicles of Nick, there are secrets revealed about other characters in the Dark-Hunter series, Cherise, Jaden and Jared. But this goes way back to the early days. When Nick's mother Cherise was a stripper trying to make a living in New Orleans.  Yet she teaches him to be  honorable while he still has to face the masses. High School.

Don't go thinking this is for those readers who are fans of the Dark-Hunter series. Yet, again, Kenyon has opened a new door for new readers with this young adult novel. The story is about Nick who is saved by a warrior who takes him into a whole new realm of vampire slayers. Before he knows it, this street wise kid is hiding his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keeping the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that? Only Kenyon can give the readers what they want in this novel. Lots of action and of course, that Nick that many fans love. Maybe you'll love him too.

Its definitely in the trendy themes these days when it comes to the dark world storylines of vamps, slayers and zombies. All I can think of, next step, put this in a graphic novel form which I'm sure has been thought about. Look for it on the new shelf in the young adult section at your library.

  1. She really writes so much. And she does have lots of fans out there. I have to wonder if she'll get a TV deal, some day.
