Damien & Michael
BBC's Being Human took a twist of sorts. Two of the main characters left the show, the vampire and the werewolf who were living with a ghost. So in their 4th season, they brought in new comers Michael Socha and Damien Molony to feel those spots.
Where as mainstays Werewolf George (Russell Tovey) and Vampire Mitchell (Aidan Turner) worked at the hospital, Vampire Hal (Damien Molony) and Werewolf Tom (Michael Socha) work at a burger joint in the city.
Naturally, I was thinking how in the world could they find anyone to replace the wonderful complicated George and even more so brooding Mitchell in the comedy drama. Luckily, the writers created a fun banter between these two newcomers.
Granted, Michael Socha is the brother of Lauren Socha of Misfits and has been in great films like SHANK and THIS IS ENGLAND. He's like an edgy UK version of Jake Gyllenhaal, yet streetwise and vigil-anti. While Irish actor Damien Molony had never been on television before but had been in many plays and a graduate from the Drama Centre. Damien is showing he's a young man with a very old soul. Its as if he walked off a Jane Austen story to be in the show.
While I very much miss George and Mitchell, I'm very happy they have found Hal and Tom. A bromance in the making, for sure.
