Smashed has such a great cast. From Megan Mullalay to Kyle Gallner. The main characters are Mary Elisabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul who play a married couple. Possibly, a drunk married couple. They play Kate and Charlie who have a mutual bond over alcohol.

But then one day a co-worker, played by Parks and Recreations' Nick Offerman gets Kate to an AA meeting. Which is perhaps the end of the beginning of this couples' marriage.

The subject matter is handled with so much realism. It was a favorite at the Sundance Film Festival 2012. Many are raving that Winstead and Paul gave Oscar worthy performances.
Octavia Spencer as well as Mary Kay Place are also in the cast. The movie was filmed in 19 days. It was written and directed by James Ponsoldt.
