Do no Harm

What's NBC up to?

Rewind ...2008...Henry(Christian Slater) is a middle-class efficiency expert living a humdrum life in the suburbs with a wife, two kids, and a dog. Edward is an operative who speaks 13 languages, runs a four-minute mile, and is trained to kill. Henry and Edward are polar opposites who share only one thing in common—the same body. When the carefully constructed wall between them breaks down, Henry and Edward are thrust into unfamiliar territory where each man is dangerously out of his element. (wikipedia) It was cancelled after the 10th episode.

2013...This January NBC brings DO NO HARM.

Dr. Jason Cole (Steven Pasquale) is a highly respected neurosurgeon who has it all - a lucrative career, confident charm, and the gift of compassion. But he also has a deep, dark secret… Every night at the same hour, something inside Jason changes, leaving him almost unrecognizable… This new man is his dangerous alternate personality who goes by the name of “Ian Price… To make matters worse… Ian’s hell-bent on taking revenge on his oppressor… Will they find some common ground, or will they bring each other down? Hell hath no fury like an alter scorned.

"…Ah. So, no lessons learned then I see. Well, at least I’m sure you’ll think of a new way to market the idea so as not to confuse the folks that last saw this show 4 years ago won’t confuse this for the same-"-Green Number 13

Do No Harm is a contemporary look at Jekyll and Hyde.
Steven Pasquale

The cast: Phylica Rashad, Steven Pasquale and Alana De La Garza.

Is it just me or is Do No Harm oddly reminiscent of Awake without the fun twist?
Still mad it got canceled.-network 19

So apparently NBC is doing a sort of Jekyll and Hyde show starting in January (Do No Harm). Hm. I’m not really sure how I feel about that.
I feel like the networks have tried to go in some really interesting, sci-fi/fantasies directions with their dramas the past couple seasons (A Gifted Man, Awake, OUAT, Grimm, now this, it appears). Some have been more successful than others—the fairy tale themed shows have surprised me with their success, to be honest, but I wasn’t really surprised that neither A Gifted Man nor Awake lasted past a season. -TheRealyCats
