A & E brings you an updated version of Norman Bates, and he's quite the chick magnet too. Thanks to Freddie Highmore as Norman who lives with his mother Norma (Vera Farmiga). Oh, those two can get in sticky situations.
Vera Farmiga is no stranger to horror with films like Running Scared and Orphan. Do you remember her from Up in the Air?
The show definitely has suspense going for it. The location is great, and the mystery surrounding Norma Bates. Why does her older son have nothing to do with her? Did she have anything to do with killing her husband?

Possibly the weakest link so far is the Sheriff played by LOST's Nestor Carbonell (as of yet, you don't even see him in the credits).

But this show has Freddie Highmore, and I can't think of anyone else who makes such a sincere Norman since the original Norman ..Anthony Perkins in Psycho.
They way he dresses. The way he comes his hair. That calm and sincere smile..oh, and he had "Mother..mother!" Down so well. Yeap, I think I'll be watching this one on A&E on Monday nights. 9 p.m (central) 10 p.m. (eastern).
Oh..and what bits we do get to see of Richard Harmon in this series..he is a scene stealer. Honestly, he makes me think more and more of Kyle Gallner.
