G.B.F.

Doesn't he look like he could be Jonathan Silverman's son?

Oh..there aren't many movies like this one. Especially, with such a wonderful message. I loved the cast. I loved the writing. And it was great to see Michael J. Willett and Paul Paul Iacona in a movie ..together. Both actors are quite the chameleon. Saying that, they know how to define their characters and it was these two who made the movie.

Of course, they had some fantastic support from folks like Sasha Pieterse, Andrea Bowen and Xosha Roquemore as the Queen Bees at school.

Taylor Frey as Topher was so funny and great in this movie!

Director: Darren Stein
Starring: Michael J. Willett, Sasha Pieterse, Andrea Bowen, Xosha Roquemore
PlotWhat happens after Tanner is outed by his classmates and becomes the title “gay best friend” for three high school queen bees?
Ugh everyone go watch GBF it is amazing, like a gay version of Easy A and Mean Girls. Seriously so good and funny.
And fuck ratings. It’s rated R for “sexual content” or whatever but it’s no worse than either movie I mentioned above, both of which were PG-13. It’s disgusting that there is a clear bias against it for gayness because it is perfect for boys (sorry, but it is gay male-centric, not much for non-straight girls here) going through being gay/bi in high school, and girls who befriend them thinking that they are doing something good. The MPAA pisses me off so much with this.
But it’s easy to find online, so if you are having trouble with your sexuality PLEASE WATCH IT. I’m in college but it resonated so much, and I honestly think it could help other people.
So, yeah.-mac

Its now on Netflix. You just might have to watch it more than once.
