Shut up and Go or Shut up: Flower Boy Band

Oh..if you love boy bands and Korean Drama..you just might have to check out the show from 2012 now on Netflix. It might come across as just another K-Pop kind of thing, but somewhere down the line is a touch of SKINS and some real drama as the show progresses.

You start to root for certain someones, especially, Sung-Jun's character who has to take over Eye-Candy and keep the band together.

Its great to see Jesse Carere in the lead and Jennette McCurdy in a serious part as pregnant Wylie who definitely has to keep her wits about her when a virus takes the lives of those over 21 in Pretty Lake. Its a Canadian show you can now catch on NETFLIX.

The premise is a lot like the show THE TRIBE. It also reminds me of Michael Grant's book GONE. Where only the young are left.

Fiction Tuesday - Saint Anything

Oh, you know you've missed her. She was probably your favorite YA author until John Greene came along. Well, she's back with her latest SAINT ANYTHING.

Saint Anything, Sarah Dessen is up to her classic storytelling with her main character LAYLA. I LOVED Saint Anything. I read it in about 4 hours.  I adored Layla as a character, she was probably my favorite in the book. She’s just so open and caring and kind. Right away when you meet her, you know she’s just a good person. I want to be friends with her. To me, it was Layla who helped Sydney’s problems the most and I liked that you focused on their friendship just as much/more than her relationship with Mac. -bb tumblr

Pitch Perfect 2

Girl power in full force! If you loved the first one..well, the second one will be just what you needed. The music is wonderful and its great to see its doing so wonderful at the box office.

But the real question most fans want to know? Is Chloe in love with Becca? Maybe we'll find out in the next Pitch Perfect movie.

Of course, its one of those films you'll have to see again. You'll have to by the soundtrack. Yes, Elisabeth Banks definitely knows what she's doing as director and producer of this movie!

Mad Max: Fury Road

Oh, its a roller coaster ride from beginning to end of this film. Definitely, in the tradition of its predecessors. This is one lean mean fighting machine of a movie. And you might just get in one of those theaters where you experience it.

 Of course, it was Nicholas Hoult's NUX that stole the show. I guess it pays off if you've played a zombie. He was definitely in hyper mode as one rebel of a war boy.

All I can say, this film keeps moving. Roaring. in the dust and dunes. But hey, even some Victoria Secret models show up, and they show they can fight with the best of them too. It just goes to show in the film industry ITS A MAN'S WORLD, but girls like to have fun too!

The Great Rock'n Roll Swindle

Oh, we finally decided to watch it. The Sex Pistols has always been a favorite of ours..and well, this 1980 movie is quite strange. I'm not sure what they were on when they made it. However, there are a few performances by Sid Vicious you might enjoy. And the oh so sad LAST performance of Johnny Rotten with the band in 1978 in San Francisco(He was fired). But..between here and there..well..its rather incoherent.

The LP came out the year before by the same title. I'm sure its a keeper for many who love their rock 'n roll.

One more week of THE FLASH..I just dunno if I can even stand the cliffhanger or not. I guess I'll just have to see.

Residue

On NetFlix. A 3 part British Sci-Fi Thriller. My favorite part of the whole show is the way it is shot. It definitely gives it a creepy vibe. The photographer might be on to something the Government is covering up. She see it in the photos she takes as she pieces the puzzle together. It stars Natalia Tena and Iwan Rheon. Unfortunately, it was a TV series that didn't get picked up. Still, its worth a watch.
