Kaori & Ellie prt. 2

Kaori frowned back at Ellie, during closing time. Guess who was walking her home? Kaori was in a stomp.

Ellie almost laughed. She was staying behind to help Nico clean up. Then Nico winced back. Ellie better stay quiet.

"If she'd rather not see that Mick, then you should go. Go with them." He ordered with a slight pout.

"You, don't want me to go home with those two? Do you?" She smirked back at Kaori, who swelled a frown while Micky was all smiles.

It was easy to see who liked Kaori.

"What do you want me to do? Break them up?" Ellie went to wash dishes in the big metal sink while Nico took care of pots and pans in the kitchen.

"They aren't even going out. You know, she's J's girl." He pressed his lips tight. After all, he was J's best friend.

"But where is he? He keeps her waiting on the phone. He doesn't act like she's even here ..when he is here. What kind of relationship is that?" Ellie told him she thought Kaori needed someone who was attentive and wanted to spend time with her.

"He has a job." Nico took up for J. "Besides, he'll be home for Christmas."

Ellie sighed, as if that might be too late.

"You, have to make sure she doesn't fall for anyone." Nico summed it up.

Ellie looked back at him, as if he were asking for, too much. She went on to wash dishes in the suds. "Kaori would never give Micky a second look. Never."
