Kaori & Ellie prt.9

Kaori & Ellie prt.9

Kaori wanted to smile all through the night, as if a dream was finally here.

But there was talk about her grandparents. J held her close in the cold.

"I've talked to them." His smile was genuine and honest. Still she worried.

"Oh." She was serious. What was he up too?

"They know, I have good intentions." He nodded. She nodded.

It wasn't long until they were at her place.

He'd brought a tree.

Kaori was full of laughter. It was so unexpected.

Was that what it was all about? The Christmas tree? She was a little lost in thought. Still, she had not expected him a day early.

"I wish you would have told me." She went to put on the electric kettle.

"Where's the surprise in that?" His face was as smart yet humble, as she remembered. She knew she needed to trust him more. She wanted too.

He embraced her, and she fell into his cozy warmth.

"Now wash up. I'll make the coffee." He kissed the top of her forehead. It sounded as if he'd take care of everything.

Was that the way she wanted it?

She took her time, gathering her things for a shower. She winced, thinking she hadn't had time to find the right pajamas, nor pretty undies. A part of her felt she had such a sheltered life, and maybe she did. If only, she could have thought ahead, and have these sexy little things, hidden away in her underwear drawer.

She sighed, wondering what J had in mind. She finally turned on the hot water, noticing someone had already showered.

When she returned, there he was in Ellie's flannel pants. At least, it was the clean pair.

She couldn't help but feel laughter.

If Ellie only knew J looked better in those pants than she did.
