The Rose Royal Chronicles

 

I got the opportunity to chat with YA author Victoria McCombs at our local authorfest in the library this past weekend. She is full of storytelling! In fact, her first series is The Storyteller's Series and YA Librarian approved! This latest series includes pirates! A YA fantasy that will keep you wanting more. She also designs many of her bookcovers which are so delightful. THE ROSE ROYAL CHRONICLES is her second series.

The series starts with Oathbound! Emme has spent her life avoiding anything to do with pirates. But the fates are cruel, and now a hidden sickness leads her to partner with pirates for the one thing that can save her—a cure on an island none are certain exists.

"I am so excited to share this world and these characters with you! Oathbound was one of those books that once I started dreaming about it, I knew I had to write it. It was two years of crafting it from start until publication day, but I am thrilled to finally invite you all to the dangerous deep with me." Victoria McCombs is a mother of boys and lives in Omaha, Nebraska.

SAVAGE BRED (the final book in the series) will be out in August in hardcover. Definitely a YA Fantasy to look for. It was an honor to meet her. She is so creative and I look forward to seeing more of her work.
