When & Where did you two first meet?

Axton: I'm guessing I was still a Junior in high school although, I had skipped most of that year and should  have been a Senior. So, I'm older.

Emily: (smiles) I'm smarter. (she looked as him with a smirk) It was Boystown. It's a really good campus even if you hear all your life that it's like 'Your Last Hope'. And yeah, I had been having lots of problems at school. My parents were divorcing. Not the best time of my life. (she shrugs and seems a bit angry) Still, I learned a lot there and I met Axton, who (she laughs softly) I thought was so cool.

Axton: I'm still cool. (He smirks back). Life hasn't been that bad since leaving there. Sure, I miss the family. I miss the people. And...of course, Emily. She's sweet. (His grin is open as if he still feels that way) I know it's been a while. The pandemic hasn't exactly been my happy place. I didn't get to stay home in the early part of it. I worked at the hospital just in custodial service. And..and I saw a lot I...I just knew I had to do something different. I did spend most of last year or so doing lots of online classes. I'm working in an art gallery now. I'm doing art. I volunteer with some of the kids in art classes on the North side of town. Still, it's hard to make ends meet. I'm hoping Em remembers, the good times. And well, I guess I'll just see what the future holds for us, you know. (He shrugs with a nod while Emily is even-lipped).
