International Women's Day

International Women's Day was yesterday. But truly, we need  International Women's Day each day by helping each other with our ingenuity. However, I am certain I missed a few that need much help these days in their strife of war, druglords, and neglected times. We have to look back at our past and see how far we have come from building bombers to flying for Hitler. In the present, we need to embrace those who want a new life as a female. However, this leads to so much controversy in unexpected places, especially in sports. It seems one forgets what women strived for all these decades. Equality. There was a time in the states, they couldn't vote, and underpaid wages continued while keeping a family. Unfortunately, these things are still happening. We fear we are still being trampled on with our rights. Meanwhile, education is key and we have a lot to do to make the world safer and kinder. Yet the chaos prevails and finding the joy each day in the little things we upcycle and create can be the answer to changing the world.

Just remember there is a woman somewhere that would love to have running water in her house. What she'd give to have a real sink to wash her dishes in and a bed that wasn't a mat on the floor.

  1. Tienes toda la razón. A veces solo vemos nuestra realidad. Te mando un beso.

  3. You're so right; International Women's Day should be every day! Even though we've come so far, there's still so much left to do. I love what you say here: ". . . finding the joy each day in the little things we upcycle and create can be the answer to changing the world." You show and share that all the time with your heartfelt writing and crafts.

Speaking of which, that's such a shame that Amazon lost your Odelie face most mermaid. I hope you were able to get the 2015 Ashia (glam squad) instead and that it inspires you in new Barbie endeavors. 🎀😀🎀😀🎀😀
