The To Do List

Finally, I found this film on DVD. I'd been anxious to watch it over the summer, but it never came to a theater near me. Granted it is R rated. Although, I don't think of this movie as just another teen movie. Aubrey Plaza stars as the smart Brandy Klark in 1993 who is ready for college. On her graduation night her friends take her to a kegger where she meets the fit and amazing Rusty Waters (Scott Porter who is rather unrecognizable) and Brandy decides she needs to change her TO DO LIST.

What is interesting about the cast..these "teenagers" are mostly in their late twenties in reality. Still this is quite an interesting comedy which..has quite a bit of sex. More or less, sex talk about ..well, sex and sex parts.

Still there is the "emotional" side to the story. Johnny Simmons is Cameron, Brandy's study buddy. Of course, he has real feelings for her while Brandy, on the other hand, has a list to get through before she starts college.

Connie Britton and Clark Gregg play Brandy's parents while Rachel Blison plays her older sister Amber.

Really, it is an interesting tale of how one girl wants to check off her TO DO list, even if it ruins her friendship with her girlfriends and her potential boyfriend.

I really loved Johnny Simmon's performace. He is one of those actors we always want him to come back and do more.

Of course, there were so really laughable and interesting scenes with Andy Samberg, Donald Glover and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, too. Yes, its one of those films you just might have to watch a second time. In case you missed something because you were laughing at some of these characters. Still, in spite of its self, there is a good message in the story. Hopefully, it won't be over looked even it there is a lot of potty humor.
