Jay & Slater

 Do you think you two are friends?

JAY: He's all I got. (he lets a smile slip) I mean, I've had friends in the past, but none like Slater. (He nods with a sigh) It's easy for me to fall in with the wrong crowd, and yeah, I'm glad Slater's around. Seriously, I think we're good for each other. SLATER: (Lets out a slight cough and clears his throat) I'm the one who's good for you. (His eyes light up). This boy is nothing but trouble. (He then grins). JAY: (He laughs at Slater and throws back his head as if Slater has it wrong) Look, we're just getting old...my friend (he grins) And we're really unlucky in love. So you know, being in the same boat..so to speak..(Jay shrugs then nods) We do need each other. Besides, my baby girl needs an uncle. (Jay looks at Slater). SLATER: I'm a pro at being an uncle. (he nods) JAY: He's a pro at being a good listener. (He looks at Slater and grins) And fun to argue with too.
