Vanna was named after her mother's favorite TV celebrity. There was a time she thought she was going places when her father's chain of video stores was in full throttle. Of course, she barely remembered any of that. She remembered him having a pizza place that he never worked at. There were other ventures. Rumors were they were moving to California or maybe even Australia. However, none of that panned out. And she was never the Prom Queen either. Then the pandemic happened and her parent's marriage crumbled. Thanks to her sister's help she got her own studio and still has her job at the grocery store. Life is not what it seemed it would have been. Her sister Alison assured her in time she would be OK and might love actually having her own place. Unfortunately, at the moment she can barely sleep with all the lights out. She feels a little lost, but maybe she has found a friend or two. And maybe this might be the best thing that's ever happened to her.
She has to adjust in time.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I was wondering if Vanna had anything to do with Vanna White but then thought, don't be so stereotypical! It's validating to find out that I was right. On to the more serious stuff, I like how you say that feeling lost may be the best thing to happen to Vanna. It's when you're down and out that you learn the most about yourself.
