Vanna & Koda and Slater & Jay

 

Do you feel it's a grownup relationship?

VANNA: I'm not at home anymore. (she is even lipped, but she can't quite look at the camera) I think I can make better decisions than my mom. (she nods) And..and sometimes, you have to let your guard down..just so you can understand people. KODA: It's funny, I know they've always treated me as a kid, you know, kind of like that puppy they didn't know what to do with (he chuckles). I like being on my own, and if I don't think about it much..the better off I am. (He smiles and they hold hands) I think we are doing the best we can. We don't need a lot. I'm just glad we have each other.

Oh, is it a bromance?

They both laugh as if it's the funniest thing they have ever heard.

SLATER: (Shakes his head) I dunno. He's the pretty one, you know. But we're friends. I'm glad to have a close friend. (he sighs) I mean, there is still my good friend Josh who put up with a lot. He was a good role model. (he nods) I feel I have to be a good role model for Jay too. I think he's grown a lot this past year. And it's good to see him as a dad. I hope I can be as good, someday.

JAY: That someday will be here before you know it. (Jay smiles) I know he's gonna be a good dad. He's got a lot of good dad qualities. (he chuckles) He's really helped me a lot being a baby dad. Hopefully, we will learn from each other. (He bites his bottom lip  to keep from smiling too much) If this is a bromance I'm all for it!
