13. A face in the crowd

Oh, Lex feels she has time for no one lately. Once upon a time, there was Cole. Her biggest crush and then she became the sister he never had. Needless to say, that didn't go anywhere. Meanwhile, she studied hard. She got into the university she wanted. Although, those scholarships were fleeting and she got on at the library and later at the multi-media lab at the university. Still, waiting for classes that she needed to happen made her feel she was spinning her wheels and going nowhere and Cole ended up in rehab.

On the upside, he never brought her down. Although he was the love of her life yet she knew how toxic it would be if she ever saw him again.

Thankfully, there was Charlotte. Perhaps a little too perfect at times and never likes to see a dirty dish, yet purely platonic. She always looked out for Lex, finding her jobs and all sorts of nifty ideas to keep her college-bound. They've been together for five years now. Yes, it goes to show just how platonic partnerships can be. They never knew they were trending until now.

  3. I like your take on the one who got away! "Although he was the love of her life yet she knew how toxic it would be if she ever saw him again." As painful as unrequited love can be, Lex dodged a bullet with Cole! And it's wonderful that she found such a supportive friend in Charlotte.

I must confess that I've never actually seen Frozen. My two-year-old niece is a big fan, though, so I guess that's why it's on my mind. :)
