Oh, it's got the feels and a bit of time travel too. What would you do if you had to compete with yourself over a girl? What if you went back to relive your first love all over again, but this time you were her teacher? Such a crazy story in 10 episodes but there was a lot of fun, over-the-top family devotion, and of course, the heart of the matter..the one that got away.Truth be told I lost touch with this drama when Dramaland was axed (although, I see that app is back now) So it showed up on VIKI as My First Love (there are a few k-dramas with this title BTW). I tuned in..and thought..WAIT A MINUTE....
I was glad to revisit it, and found out later that the younger(second lead-Seo Ji Hoon) was the second lead in MEOW. He has grown up so much! Which leads me to want to watch him in more of his more recent dramas. Hopefully, he is past the second lead syndrome now. He really is a wonderful actor.
Initially, it was great to see Lee Jung Shin from CNBLUE as the main lead in this. Talk about a sharp-dressed man who could be funny and yet emotional in seconds. And of course, the first love Lee Yeol Eum who was radiantly sweet in the drama. But of course, always looked troubled.
I guess what gives this drama even more K-drama is the unity of that circle of friends. And how her close friend felt about her when she suddenly exited from their lives. Of course, some of the time you are left wondering why did they have to waste so much time on these side characters? Still, it is the makeup of where you are from and they made the drama memorable, as well.
Sounds so interesting!
ReplyDeleteNo lo he visto, pero me dejaste intrigada. Me lo llevo anotado. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThis movie sounds terrific! I heart any love story that takes the what-if route. "A sharp-dressed man who could be funny and yet emotional in seconds" just sweetens the deal! Finally, the pink umbrella pic is so poignant and romantic. Great choice and great review! :)
