That time you acted like you didn't care

 But I knew you did.

It was that weekend when my best friend wanted us to meet up with your best friend to go to the carnival. It wasn't exactly a group date, but everyone coupled up and we had to be together because ...well..we didn't want to be left behind.

It started out so warm, kind of windy. We just followed around Jess and Hal. Played some games. Ate some cotton candy. Waited in a long line for the bathroom. And finally, we chanced the rollercoaster. What were we thinking? It was amazing we didn't get killed on that thing. We didn't do too many more rides after that.

Oh, the Ferris wheel. Where I found out you were two grades behind me. Of course, a foot taller than me. Yeah, I might as well have been babysitting you. But it was such a slow ride. And there from the top, we witness Jess and Hal in a shouting match.

The end. Jess had her friends and Hal had his friends. That's when we said good bye.

  2. Es un fragmento que narra una "cita" que parece hacer feliz a la narradora pero termina dejándote con cierta nostalgia y tristeza de que haya terminado la cita :(

  3. I feel like I'm at this carnival! Sadly watching the one who got away . . . go away. Genius! And the Dawson's Creek tee is everything. :)
