I think what I like about Offerman is his history in theater and the people he knows, the stories he knows who can entertain you for hours with his laid-back humor. It was insightful to read this book. A lot of it made me smile. His friendships, travels are so genuine Americana.
Of course, he talks of America's villains too. It might not be all nice as we presumed in the earlier chapters. There might be some name blaming too. However, the book did have a good start. Possibly, he got a little too preachy. But sometimes, it happens to the best of us.
Did I mention how much I liked the book cover.

ReplyDeleteGracias por la reseña, se ve divertido. Lo tendré en cuenta. Te mando un beso
ReplyDeleteOh, I bet this is terrific! Even if I have heard weird things about his previous books. He's just so . . . Nick, even when he's on his soap box. I agree that the cover is very cool. :)
