Conversation of the week - Everyone has an opinion

JANE: I couldn't get to sleep last night. Is it the weather we're having? (She sips coffee at her desk. There is a glass petition between her and co-worker Cole who is at his desk printing out reports).

COLE: I tell ya, I had a tough time too. I couldn't stop thinking about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. What was that about? I just don't know if it was real or not. (He shakes his head with a shrug).

JANE: It was real all right. (She takes another sip of coffee as she is getting situated on her computer)

VANESSA: (Walks by with an empty coffee cup on the way to the breakroom). I think it was staged. Who does that kind of stuff on a whim? Besides, wasn't Chris smiling? I think they pulled a Jussie Smolette on us. That's what I think. (She goes to get her coffee).

JANE: Oh, it was real. It couldn't have been fake. Will Smith would never. I mean, he's the Prince of Bel-air. I know I'm right.

COLE: He had a right, you know, I mean Chris was talking bad about his wife. (Cole nods as he picks up his cup of coffee for a sip). (Vanessa comes back with her coffee from the breakroom).

VANESSA: Wife, hmmmph. That's an open marriage. I don't like the way they raised their kids. Those two got too much money they don't even know what to do with. Besides, he shouldn't have won for King Richard anyway.

(Cole and Jane look at Vanessa startled).

VANESSA: No way am I watching that film. Not after that guy treated much of his family so wrong. He was out to make money on his two little girls. If I was Smith I wouldn't have even made that film. (she walks off with her cup of coffee to her department).
