It's celebrating its 30th anniversary in film this year. We even had reenactors this weekend at our library. Yes, our librarians are that fond of this book and film, too. Of course, the book came out before then (in fact, published in 1973) of Buttercup and Wesley. Oh, it was gold for Goldman all right. Such a great tale with wordplay just as much as swordplay. The Princess Bride is even making the rounds of Halloween costumes too! It is one of my absolute favorite books! Honestly, it is a book I could reread and get just as much enjoyment from it even now. Very character driven!
I have to remember this story.
