Oh, they still exist. Maybe they aren't trudging through life like they used to. But some do. I would know.
He was excited to find out about his DNA from Ancestory.Com. And all this time, he thought he had French roots, but he's more German instead. Funny, how we try to become what we've been told. Oh, I dunno how long we had to make all these French dishes just to find out French was not in his blood. I guess a turkey leg or a ham bone would do now.
Of course, the worst..is when a Neanderthal is sick. Of course, they also think they can hold their liquor. And maybe they can. But rum generally means bad things. Like the time he left the water running in the middle of the night in the bathroom sink and I woke up to a flood. Let's just say some of my stories are a lot closer to home than you might think.
Not gonna lie... I can only put up with so much, and well, some might wonder if a demon hatched.
But back to being sick. As some would say, it makes good drama, but they aren't living it. So yes, some of us are still herding buffalo from the kitchen to the bed, and of course, he thinks he's a sexy beast with a snotty nose and a horrible cough. Taking a COVID test is out of the question. At this point..I just don't want to get sick. I want to have Christmas this year...and New Year's too!
No wonder, I would love to write a horror novel, but then I don't want to scare myself any more than I have to.

The husband and I always laugh when we see those ancestry commercials about completing your family -- because finding out too much could just as easily tear your family apart! Anyway, this is so clever how you talk about how your person took the news about not being French. And also what happens when sickness is afoot!: "So yes, some of us are still herding buffalo from the kitchen to the bed, and of course, he thinks he's a sexy beast with a snotty nose and a horrible cough." You're so right when you say that drama is interesting -- except when you're living it. I sincerely hope your household gets healthy again -- and that you keep that killer sense of humor to give us more great writing! 😀
