Kai was like my bestie many moons ago. I mean...until we hooked up. Which we knew was a mistake and he went to Canada to work on his music. I mean, yeah, I missed him. Eventually, we got to talking again. We kept it a distant friendship cause I live in the Heartland and I never expected to see him again.
Meanwhile, I met Clay..and well..we are totally opposites. He never ever met a stranger he didn't like. This guy is super friendly and an artist too. He works at a gallery so we manage somehow. He does a lot of odd jobs and well, we have been together for quite a while at the Loft in the Old Market. We survived the pandemic. We've vowed to get married. Although, that hasn't happened yet, but you know, there is still time.
So yeah, Kai wants to visit. Stay at our place. Have Christmas with us. I mean..why? Really?
He says he wants to meet Clay. He wants to make sure he's good enough for me. Honestly, I can't believe this is the Holidays. Especially, with folks still coming down with COVID, the flu, and RSV. Oh, it's a nightmare.
We've never cooked a turkey in our life. We aren't even sure the oven works. I mean, we air-fry everything. Well, Clay does. I don't really cook. I just do yogurt when I'm up for it.
So yeah, I am so hoping Clay can entertain him. Really, I do better with online friendships than in real-time.
Online friendships are real sometimes

Oh, it's always interesting when the old boyfriend and current boyfriend meet! Talk about a hotbed of drama. I've never cooked a turkey either and agree that online friendships are where it's at. 😀
