Fiction Tuesday

Bella and Kate. Kate and Bella. From childhood they were bosom friends, Bella sensible and cautious, Kate gregarious and just a little dangerous.

Yet in spite of their intimacy, their trust is fragile. Men came into their lives and things changed: a black seed was set in the heart of their relationship. Over decades, acts of both cruelty and love ferment until one shocking event tests them more than ever. Neither will escape unscathed.

It's a stand-alone from Jessica Fellowes! Although, it goes to show how friendship can turn into a competition at times. Sometimes, we forget who we actually are and even who our friends might be. Or do we really know how to be friends? Yes, the toxic of all books in recent times.. just might be this book. So if you are of that age who can stomach it..this might be the ticket. Or to some, they might be yelling, "Jessica! How could you?" Far from her Downton Abbey series comes a reversal of sorts. Suspense, etc. Yes, Fellowes is showing just how dark she can get. And some would rather not read it. But not everyone.

  5. This book sounds like a psychological rollercoaster for sure! I love the pink-haired Taylor Swift in the collage. Which reminds me, you must've been psyched to see Harry Styles win the Grammy for Album of the Year! I thought it was nice that Taylor supported him amidst the haters, regardless of whatever they went through.
