Are you really sure about taking the plunge with being together?
RAFE: Plunge? (he grimaces a laugh) Nobody's plunging anything. (although, he's very close to Maddie and they are very chummy on the couch and they are both smiling and practically silly for each other)
MADDIE: Well, we..we've been talking. He asks questions and then..I ask questions. (she nods) We're just trying to get to know each other.
RAFE: And go places. (He shrugs with his arm around her.) I like the way we're together. I mean we know we don't have much. And..we just have to be there for each other. We don't have to be..you know..all over each other. (They are holding hands)
MADDIE: It's comfortable (She smiles.)
RAFE: But not too comfortable. (His laugh practically touches her ear and she laughs too).
MADDIE: We don't have a lot of places to go, but we have the library and (she sighs) work and Chili to give us some freebies occasionally. (She smiles)
(Chili brings them maple sugar milkshakes to the back booth where they are in the corner.)
