"Heeeeey Boooooys, wanna go out?"
And the audience roared to the point that our Kiki wanted to hide. Yes, she really likes her dialogue in her Barbie roleplays.
Later Gabe said, "Well this one is hiding out in the jeep and he's going to the high school with these guys so he can learn what they are learning in high school." Of course, Kiki came back on a roll with her carload of girls. "Well, they are in college and they are on a road trip."
Yes, we spent an afternoon of all sorts of stories going on under the dining room table. Earlier a few good games of Janga turned into dominoes. We only play dominos by setting them up and seeing how far and long they can fall.
The chocolate dump cake went over best(it's great sliced and heated in the microwave for 30 seconds). But Gabe did find that he liked pumpkin after all. Of course, Kiki who swears she doesn't eat cheese ate mostly summer sausage and cheese on crackers. We had two different mashed potatoes. One for the nondairies and those who want them in cream. So I must admit, not a lot of stuffing eaters in our family. And lots of green bean casserole was leftovers which I had never made until the visiting in-laws made it one year. According to them, it is the staple of a Thanksgiving other than the turkey.
I might make cranberry fluff yet. It seems creamy desserts are loved best in our family. All you need is Cool Whip, evidently..oh and Jello!
I did a little Black Friday Shopping at my favorite places. I spent the most at 5 Below..of course. But I found 2 things for me at Ross' that was not Barbie related. An oversized sweater and a new Glass Coffee Press. I found some art supplies on sale at Joanne's too.
El postre se ve tan rico. te deseo un buen fin de semana. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteBarbies! Glad you found some things. We had a quiet day after. Didn't do a lot. Watched some old camcorder stuff. Ate. :) We had green bean casserole too, and I ate a bunch of turkey and cheese potatoes today... and bar cheese. And snacks.
ReplyDeleteLeftovers are awesome. Interesting about the Latter Day Saints. I grew up in a church that was an offshoot of the LDS.
I think you do a great job of mixing the characters in without it being confusing.
I have not even had the prequel on my radar but we watched Catching Fire the other day, and I just read a great reviews. I can't wait to see it now!!!!!
We're supposed to get snow starting today, so the kids will go back earlier. That's hilarious about the Barbie vehicles. Well, as long as it was planned. I hope it wasn't an ACCIDENT accident. I'm glad you got writing done. We've had company so I haven't written in days.
DeleteHere's to Black Friday!
ReplyDeleteBarbies, leftover dump cake, and shopping -- what a wonderful Black Friday! And you certainly outdid yourself with the Turkey Day dinner, with the two different kinds of mashed potatoes alone. That cranberry fluff sounds amazing. I must confess that I didn't do much on Friday except continue to clean out my craft room. It's turning out to be quite a job but will be nice when it's done. And then, of course, I ordered a couple of gifts from Amazon. But it wasn't the same as hitting the stores. 🥔🎀🍫🎁🧶
