Bah! Humbug

 "Well, she was pretty," I overheard the clerk at 5 Below tell the cop about the translady. "But she still stole a bunch of our stuff." Luckily, they got it all back. It was a bit of a hold up in the parking lot and I ended up at ROSS anyway. 

Yes, I  had to go through the toys, and yes I found a least 2 Barbie cars I would have loved to have brought home, but I didn't. I also found the most adorable Hello Kitty Happy Holidays soup mug and spoon (which I know wasn't even made in the country), but I didn't get that either. I found some socks and some chocolates for the director. Also found a few more things for the few on staff I'm giving presents to.

What you will need for the Sugar Cookie Fudge

1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

2 1/4 c. white chocolate chips

1 1/2 c. sugar cookie mix

2 tbsp. unsalted butter

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

It seems I got bumped up on my appointments this week. One I couldn't make, but I did get the dental one done. So I guess I am going forward, yet I feel I just need to stay home too. 

Remember, to be on the lookout. All sorts of shenanigans are going on. Years ago, at a video store, I was behind this old man waiting to rent my videos. He didn't look like a bad man, but then again, all I saw was his backside. When I got up to the register I could see the clerk looked like she was ready to have a heart attack. That's when she told me he'd robbed the place. And he did it all so quietly. I found it hard to believe it had happened. 

Since then there are watchful eyes everywhere. And I guess we have to be thankful for that. But it still feels you need to have your guard up.
