What's your favorite drink at the coffee shop? There was a time I loved to go out for hot tea. Can't say if my taste changed or what. Perhaps, it all started with my mother-in-law. She always had so many flavors and varieties at her house and she loved tea time.
This has not changed. More teatimes, in fact, which leads to snacks! I brought her a few boxes of teas that I thought she might enjoy. Come to find out she has a drawer stashed with teas, yet she prefers Lipton with a little honey now.
Just now I looked in my own tea drawer (Honestly, it didn't really call it that until I figured out..I stash my tea away too). I had given our library secretary a box of Celestal's Apple Spice, but she was hoping for their Candy Cane Lane. Evidently, there is a shortage. And I just realized I've drank most of mine up already. I do like to keep a few mint teas during the flu and sinus season. I have a similar one like Candy Cane Lane from Trader Joe's. Not gonna lie I do love Celestial teas!
Of course, as an early riser, I have to have a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. Occasionally, I make my own flat whites which are so good on a winter's day. Most of the coffee is pour-overs. I tend to have a few K-cups handy at work. I have noticed the more caffeine I have in the morning the less I want to eat and I can focus on my library projects.
For the flat white I have an old-fashion metal frother. Sure, I have used all sorts, but they generally fizzle soon So I have to do it by hand. Recently, I have found out it's perfect for Golden Milk at night. I love having this drink to help me sleep.
Perhaps I am not an avid black coffee drinker. Although, I have been drinking coffee since I was three. It was the only way my mom could get me to drink milk. Back then I probably had way too much sugar in it (No wonder I have such bad teeth!) I guess I stopped putting sugar in my coffee in middle school. Back when I wanted to test myself about having less sugar in my life. They rarely ever had hot tea. It was always iced tea in the summer with a hint of mint.
I stopped taking sugar in my drinks for decades, happy about that -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI love both, but I am super fan to tea *-*
Kisses ♥
Menina, andei lendo teus posts neste blog e gostei, isso é que é escrever livremente sobre um tema. Eu adoro café, tomo todas as manhãs mas sempre com açucar, só que é o açucar demerara, não o comum. Chá? Tomo as vezes a noite, estou aprendendo a apreciar. Boas festas!🎄 Um abraço!:)
ReplyDeleteGirl, I've been reading your posts on this blog and I liked it, that's what it's like to write freely about a topic. I love coffee, I drink it every morning but always with sugar, but it's demerara sugar, not the common one. Tea? I take it sometimes at night, I'm learning to appreciate it. Happy Holidays! A hug!🎄:)❤️❤️❤️❤️🎄🎄🎄🎄Thank you so much for reading(✿◡‿◡) Thanks for the comment too!
DeleteI think for me it's tea although I LOVE the smell of coffee. I like Celestial teas too. and not gonna lie, the cozy little pictures don't hurt!
ReplyDeleteI hope the city lunch is nice if you go. Glad the swelling is improving. The holidays are going okay although the drama is... interesting. Is it over yet??? :)
I'm looking forward to a Sunny POV??!??
DeleteAw that's too bad about the homeless guy. Such an ongoing problem. What if the people they talk to... just people we can't see? O.o
Thanks ..I did write some about Sunny! Oh, he wasn't there last night, I checked with a co-worker. I hope we won't see him again.
DeleteI LIVE for Sunny's point of view lol.
DeleteI drink both! No sugar and no milk though! I love a good strong black coffee and drink a lot of herbal teas and black teas. I always drink raspberry leaf tea everyday and I am currently drinking a lavender/chamomile mixed tea - sleepy tea as I call it haha!
ReplyDeleteYo por lo general tomó te frío. Por lo general de flor de Jamaica o toronjil o una mezcla de los dos. y café caliente con leche y sin azúcar. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteTea for me, please! Celestial Seasonings Cinnamon Apple Spice is the only one I'll drink. ☕🍎☕🍎
