Snow showers are coming down as I write this. It is getting heavy. Hopefully, our old maple can make it. I do wonder how many squirrels it actually holds. They were romping on the roof yesterday when it was still warm.
The trash is ready to take on the street. Now if the trash truck can make its way on our street. The snow plow has not been through just yet.
I had a fit-full night of dreams. Oddly, I never really woke up. It was an interesting sort of dreams, remembering people I hadn't seen in a while. Such quaint conversations.
"Don't you remember? I was supposed to meet my boyfriend in Kunming and we were going to watch TV in the park," I said and he replied. "You know, you never did that."
"But I wanted to." Naturally, the whole scene was in a quaint bar. He even got up with an acapella group he'd put together, evidently, but he never sang. Just listened as if he might critique each voice. It seemed everything was OK, and yet we both had to find something new that was about the past that we didn't clearly know. And when I awoke it felt the room was of a glow.
According to Amazon, it's a must-read classic from 2022! Although, it might be the most depressing book you will ever read. Yet, the voice of the book grabs you at the first sentence. Kingsolver is a poet and she knows it. This is a big book and boy does it go places even in the Appelicans. If you need something to read during a snowstorm then it will take you away. Of course, afterward, you might be yearning for Emily Henry's Happy Place.
I will stay away from depressing books
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here too. Heavy for a while, has lightened up a bit.
ReplyDeleteDreams can be wild. I've had some that when I wake up I feel so good, and then the other night I had ne of the worst dreams I've ever had. I don't remember the details now but I was shaken.
Thank you for your kind comments! With On the Run I'm coming up on the place where the previously written stuff runs out and I'll be writing new material. I'm having fun with that! And I had to laugh at the Lord of the Rings. That made me smile :)
I have not had that happen with the posts, although I've deleted a post by error. User error lol. I hope it's not too hard rewriting it- I hate that because you never get it exactly like it was. And wow so you've got lots of sno huh?>
Yeah, we finally got a good snow( about 6 inches or so). It's gonna get cold now. Wind started up. Geese aren't sure which way to go. The snow came up from the south. It was a work out trying to get the drive way done. The neighbor cleared the side walk, but I had done part of it and he took pity on me. I got to hear about his German Shepherd pup who looks pretty much grown to me. Don't know how much bigger it could get but I have feeling he will get bigger.
DeleteI had to laugh at Cujo. My brother in law's dog used to try to bite my kids so I took to calling him cujo. :)
DeleteI think we're going t ofind out more about Maia. :)
And yes the body parts! More to come there too methinks...
Poor geese! they're probably confused...
