Jack the Giant Slayer

STORYLINE:The ancient war between humans and a race of giants is reignited when Jack, a young farmhand fighting for a kingdom and the love of a princess, opens a gateway between the two worlds.

Some of us only need Nicholas Hoult in a hoodie in a movie and we are happy campers. But then there are those who have to have the best of the best of special effects and don't care how charming the characters maybe nor how a line is even delivered in a film. So this movie might be a toss up for some, but not for me. I found the film a lot of fun at the theater.

Honestly, I felt the film was a good action packed movie for the whole family. We also get to revisit an old fairytale that still has a lot of life to it.

There is Ewing McGregor as Elmont, part of the Royal Guard out to save the princess. As always, he makes a movie fun in some way.

Eleanor Tomlinson plays the princess. And I felt her character sent a very good message to girls everywhere.

I felt the movie had a wonderful script. The bean stalk was massive. And the giants were scary enough for me. And I loved Jack and I could see why Jack was smitten with the princess. And I felt the princess was sincere and smart and perfect for Jack. All in all it was a wonderful movie, and I think I will remember it too.
