Oh that Hugh!

Perhaps a dufus of a role in 2008 in LEGEND OF THE CONDOR HEROES, but this guy went through a lot (including a carwreck) to make this Jin Yong Wuxia Drama. Yong has a way of creating at least one character in his cast who everyone thinks is dumb and no way could be a hero, but in more ways than one Hugh proved them wrong in this drama. Sure, there are critics that say the 2008 drama did not follow the book (I didn't care for the costuming in the most recent version nor who they have for the main male characters..after all Hugh rocked the hair and the martial arts moves!). Even so, he was the prettiest of them all in the ML role. In Real Lime he went on to form his own Entertainment Agency. So there! Not a dummy after all. But from his character's POV he had too many to please so it would be confusing on what to do. And there was always something going on between the Jins and the Songs, plus a few sects, oh and don't forget those suspicious monks.

 Hu Ge was involved in a car accident on 29 August 2006 while traveling from Hengdian to Shanghai on the highway. He survived with severe injuries while his assistant died. Hu had to undergo surgery and the entire healing process took approximately one year. The filming of "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", which he was working on then, was temporarily halted due to his injury.
